However, the Washington Post reports that judge Patricia Broderick is considering granting him house arrest with an ankle monitor, over the objections of the prosecution. The judge scheduled a jury trial for October 24th. There was a considerable activist presence at the courthouse this morning and friends of Adam were in the courtroom. 4. Attend the Rally Tue Aug 13
We are rallying in support of Adam Kokesh so that he can get bail. We are meeting in front of the H. Carl Moultrie courthouse in Washington, D.C. at 7AM sharp on Tuesday, 13 August.
Adam is being held incommunicado (no phone calls, no contact with lawyer) without bail by judge Frederick Sullivan. Let’s make sure Frederick sees us as he enters the courthouse that day. Adam needs to be granted bail ASAP. He can’t defend himself while in a cage.
Don’t let anyone tell you that Adam can not be granted bail. The judge can order bail at any time. The prosecutor can reverse his opposition to bail at any time.
Come prepared with all the usual gear and supplies as well as a positive attitude.
We need your help. Adam needs your participation. Make a statement about the liberty community – about yourself. Say with your actions that you will stand up for your fellow liberty lovers. That we will stick together. That you will not allow the government to scare you into silence or apathy. That our solidarity is strong. That we won’t tolerate political prisoners.
